    We chose Michael from the Angie's List listing based on the reviews and because he lived nearby. We cannot offer enough positive praise about how well our experience went with Michael - from our first inquiry about his services, to the estimate, to the meeting concerning our painting color choices, to the daily work (he said they would start on Thursday and take 4 days which it did), to the cleanliness of the apartment after each day. Beyond all of the agreed upon tasks and how well they were carried out, Michael noted that our newly repaired floor had some fill the color of which was too light for the floor. He offered to bring some tint to tamp it down a bit. To us that said that Michael took ownership of the entire appearance of the apartment. And, oh yes, the music in the apartment while they painted was great. See more See less

    Mike did an excellent job overall, was incredibly responsive in communication, was careful in cleaning up at the end of each day, and was thorough in making sure we were fully satisfied with his work. He was patient while jumping through hoops to gain approval from the building, and he supplied all documentation required in a timely manner. We will definitely be using Mike again for future projects after he exceeded our expectations on this project! See more See less

    We hired Michael to paint our apartment before our son arrived. He was fantastic to work with and we’ll be hiring him again any time we need painting done. His attention to detail showed in the quality of his work, and he was very patient and responsive with scheduling, which was important for us to get the work done in time for our baby.     We have had Michael paint our apartment several times between rentals of our apartment in Manhattan. Every time I have really appreciated his communication, promptness, quality of work, and attention to detail. He has always gone above and beyond on every job, including helping to recommend other contractors outside of his teams' services, like plumbing and carpentry, who also worked out very well. It can be tough to find a reliable and trustworthy contractor, but I would not hesitate to recommend Michael for all of your painting and wallpapering needs. See more See less

    Michael and his team did a fantastic job! Full paint and two walls of statement wallpaper. He went above and beyond helping to recommend and coordinate with a contractor for light work in our apartment.     We hired Michael and his partner Steve to paint our new apartment about a month ago. I just came across their number on google and I am so glad that I did. They were great and did a fantastic job. They got the job done very efficiently, were very responsive to all of our questions, and were fastidious about getting the job done right.     I was looking for painters in my area, and I realized Michael was just up the street from our new apartment. You can tell he and his crew have decades of experience, working with us to select paint finish, paint color and even opinions on working with plaster and our tricky tray ceilings. They helped us pick the perfect ultralight grey, Oxford Grey, and trim and ceiling paint to accent and enhance the wall color. He and his team were working under a tight timeline and stayed very late on the first day to ensure they could complete the job on the second day as promised. They did a great job protecting the floors and I didn't find a drop of paint anywhere in the apartment after they were done. For the quality of work that he did, his rates were very reasonable and I would highly recommend him to anybody looking for top quality painting on the Upper West Side and beyond. See more See less
